For stable and trouble-free operation industrial enterprises and plants continuously need fuel. Fuel for them is a negotiable asset and must always be present in an amount sufficient to service the production and sale of goods or services.
Refineries and enterprises use fuel in the following areas:
- for the main technological processes (industrial fuel provides all production cycles – the operation of equipment, heating of blanks, the functioning of fuel-consuming plants, etc.);
- for the needs of motor transport (any enterprise has its own vehicle fleet, which must be maintained in working order, and the availability of fuel for motor vehicles is an important condition for this);
- for communal and domestic needs (heating production and administrative buildings and facilities, hot water supply, ventilation).
Competent calculation of the need for fuel is very important for the enterprise and is performed to obtain technical conditions for the use of fuel (the so-called fuel limits). The calculation is carried out for the day, month and year, which gives the most complete picture of the use and accounting of fuel. The same principle is used to calculate the gas requirements for the plant or organization for heating and operation of gas piston units.
Deliveries of fuel for enterprises
The main type of fuel used for industrial purposes is diesel fuel and its analogues (furnace oil, etc.). It is this feedstock that is used at enterprises of the housing and utilities sector and the fuel and energy complex, for generator stations and diesel heating boilers.
Also, diesel fuel meets the needs of the construction industry, ensures the uninterrupted operation of tractors, cranes, freight and specialized motor vehicles.
The quality of diesel fuel is important for reliable operation of various equipment and heating. Therefore, enterprises should be responsible for choosing a supplier of fuel. Preference is given to fuel companies working directly with refineries and confirming the quality of diesel fuel with passports and certificates. Also great attention is paid to meeting the deadlines for the supply of fuel for non-stop production processes.
At the beginning of the cooperation, the planning of the enterprise needs is made and the agreement with the supplier to satisfy them. For each plant, the purchase needs are individual, and a special delivery schedule is developed.
