Volodarskaya LPDS is the most extensive tank farm in the Moscow region. The enterprise belongs to OAO “Mostransnefteprodukt”. This industrial structure is a system of pipelines and vertical tanks intended for receiving, storing and transporting light oil products in various reservoirs (tankers, tanks, etc.).
VLPDS can be decoded as Volodarskaya linear operating dispatcher station. The Volodarskaya LPDS is located at the address: Konstantinovo village, Ramensky district, Moscow region. It was put into operation in 1973 and in many respects because of its convenient location became the main oil distributing hub of the capital region.
Thanks to the 3-level oil pipeline, this structure, the only one of the similar ones, allows separate transporting and storing the following types of products:
- diesel fuel,
- aviation kerosene,
- motor gasoline.
This prevents the formation of oil product transmix and ensures high quality of certain types of fuel.
Volodarskaya oil tankfarm facility supplies the Moscow Oil Refinery with petroleum feedstock, receiving from it the finished oil products for storage and transportation. In addition, the station receives oil refining products from the Ryazan refinery. The oil product turnover of the base is more than 3 million tons per year.
From the Volodarskaya station, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene are pumped into the loop oil product pipeline and sent to Moscow airports (Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo) and to automobile loading points.
Equipment
Being a part of the company “Transneft”, Volodarskaya oil tankfarm facility has the largest tank battery with a capacity of 250,000 cubic meters. The reservoirs are divided into fuel and additional ones for vacuum residue, water and transitional mixtures of petroleum products.
Volodarskaya fuel tanks are in the form of straight cylinders and are made of high-strength steel. For different fuel groups there are tanks of different capacity – 5,000, 7,500 and 10,000 cubic meters. Reservoirs for transitional mixtures can hold up to 500 cu. m. of oil products.
All production processes at VLPDS are automated and meet the standards of industrial and environmental safety. About 5,000 tons of high-quality petroleum products are transported per day.
