Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery is located near the city of Novoshakhtinsk in the Rostov region. In the region it is the only refinery that is also the main taxpayer. The refinery is included in the complex of enterprises of the agro-industrial group “Yug Rusi.”
Novoshakhtinsky refinery is a fairly young enterprise by industrial standards. Its history began in 2004, when the law “On Priority Development of Miner Territories” was adopted in the Rostov Region. It ordered to accelerate the restoration and development of depressed miner zones, which became possible largely thanks to the founding of the refinery.
Social role
Novoshakhtinskiy refinery was built in record five years (2004-2009), and today this enterprise determines the development of the entire infrastructure of the region, including industry, medicine, construction, service organizations, etc.
In addition, the uninterrupted operation of the refinery contributes to an increase in the standard of living for the population. After the launch of the first stage facilities, more than 1500 specialists of different specializations received highly paid work, the second stage provided more than 500 jobs. Products
Novoshakhtinskiy refinery processes over 5 million tons of oil per year and specializes in the following oil products:
- Motor fuel.
- Diesel fuel.
- Furnace oil.
- Low-viscosity marine fuel (SMT).
- Residual fuel oil.
- Straight-run gasoline etc.
For export transportation of finished products, a water terminal was built on the river Don, designed to accept cargo tankers with a load of up to 5000 tons. Crude oil is supplied to the refinery via the oil pipelines of Transneft and the railway. Novoshakhtinskiy Refinery uses the North-Caucasian Railway Nesvetai shipment station to send and receive goods by rail.
The refinery products comply with the established standards and the requirements of regulatory bodies, which is confirmed by the quality certificates of the Novoshakhtinskiy refinery.
Ecology
The refinery is equipped with treatment facilities with modern technology of water purification. The collection and processing of oil occurs without harm to the environment, because the entry of harmful compounds into rivers and the atmosphere is completely impossible. According to the official website, the depth of oil refining reaches 65%, which contributes to the reduction of production waste.
