Oil solvents are flammable liquids obtained by distillation of oil and used in household and industry. The common name of such products is Nephras (by the first parts of words). This group includes straight-run gasoline, stable gas naphtha, kerosene, white spirit, etc.

Oil solvents’ gasoline differs from automobile gasoline in its composition and characteristics.
Automobile gasoline is fuel for the engine, and oil solvents’ gasoline, the price for which is higher, is a solvent with the octane number of not more than 52.
Gasoline-oil solvent contains less aromatic hydrocarbons, so its smell is less saturated than that of the usual gasoline fuel.
Classification of oil solvents:
Oil solvents have an unstable hydrocarbon composition, since the matter here is not a specific product, but a complex of hydrocarbons. Depending on the prevalence in the composition of certain substances, oil solvents can be divided into the following groups with the labeling:
- A – Aliphatic (more than 50% of aliphatic hydrocarbons),
- Ar – Aromatic (predominantly aromatics),
- P – Paraffin (more than 50% paraffin),
- I – Isoparaffin,
- S – Mixed (in the composition there are hydrocarbons of each group).
Straight-run gasoline
This product of oil distillation is not characterized by detonation resistance; therefore, it is used only in industry. It is light gasoline fractions of a transparent color. Excises for straight-run gasoline are higher than for other types of gasoline, and are paid by the manufacturer. Stable gas naphtha
